The gazebo by the water was tranquil and I recharged after spending time in the hammock. The food was delicious as breakfast comes with the stay. I totally recommend this place for anyone wanting to be close to things yet feel like you are far away."

"The pictures of this place are incredible, right? Somehow, they still do not manage to do it justice. Incredible home, incredible property, incredible location. Dawn (the property manager) met us upon arrival, made sure we had everything we needed, and remained available to answer any last minute location-specific questions that our group had. Thank you, Dawn! We had no issues with anything at the house during our stay. Water worked properly, pool was clean, and the propane tanks were full. Thank you, Andrea & Derek! "

"No words can describe the beauty and peacefulness of this property. The grounds are spectacular and our room was gorgeous overlooking the ocean and sunsets. Upon our arrival we were greeted with refreshing beverages and brought to our room where we saw Toucans and Parrots . In our two day visit we saw monkeys and frogs and lots of butterflies! It was so hard to leave. The entire staff was so kind and friendly and helpful. It was the highlight of our 10day Costa Rican vacation. We will definitely return again. . "

"Firstly the support from Shannon and Ben was fantastic - even came and met us and guided us to the property. Cannot say enough positive things about this house! Appearance fantastic, amenities in the house were first class. I advise you book, stock up on provisions and enjoy the house and its surroundings! When you do venture out visit the amazing restaurant Exotica only a 10 min drive from the house. Enjoy a great coffee at Tagua Cafe, sit in the garden with the humming birds! Only negative was we should have stayed longer!!!!!"

"Exactly as advertised. We stayed in an AC room with 2 double beds and a large sliding glass door that opened to a little balcony. Lots of singing birds. Great value. The breakfast, served next door to the hotel for $8 per person, was truly excellent. "

"This is a beautiful place to stay and very relaxing. We were busy with outside activities so didn’t get to enjoy the pool like we would have liked. They have a washer and drier on site for guests to use free of charge and after traveling around the country for 2 weeks before arriving this was handy. "

"Quaint cabin (make sure you have the correct GPS coordinates, because there are two by the same name – we were made aware of the correct location AFTER we booked). Extremely remote! Challenges with check-in/meeting the care taker. Be advised, this cabin is located 10 minutes off a main road, up a very steep, bumpy, rocky, dusty incline – a 4x4 is absolutely required and I would not advise attempting this in the rain! Bring all groceries and supplies PRIOR to check-in because the drive up and down is so treacherous you will not want to do it often. ALSO NOTE: we were told by the caretaker to NOT drink the water AFTER we arrived. Sadly, we did not have the pleasure of seeing any wildlife during our one-night stay (we had booked two nights, but after booking/paying, we were informed it was double booked and we could only visit one night, which turned out to be a huge blessing). A few other items to clarify: the “sleep2” comfy sofa is a futon, which is hard/not comfortable– there are not “tons of soft blankets or towels – we had 2 towels plus one hand towel). The refrigerator did not work well (did not cool our supplies). Discovered, late at night, the living room sliding door lock did not work. Overall, we appreciated the opportunity to disconnect for 24 hours and enjoyed breathing in the natural mountain air surrounded by jungle foliage, but it is not someplace we would visit again, and wished we would have had a more accurate/more balanced description prior to booking.
