We were at the end of our Panama/Costa Rica trip and had actually just decided to cut it short because I was starting to feel sick. But we had this last hike to try out and I was just hoping both that I would feel well enough and also that our car would be able to make it back on the very steep gravel road back from the parking spot (after almost getting stuck around Monteverde earlier on the trip). As we’ve been getting used to we were first to arrive so we had this awesome place completely to ourselves for a little while in the morning before other tourists started to drop in. It really felt like a fairytale.

"This rental is exactly as pictured. The hosts are wonderful answering any questions . The area is remote do you really get a nice experience of the culture. The views of wildlife and the beach are stunning. Plenty of space to be extremely comfortable with 7 or more. Definitely need a car as they suggest. Something for everyone pool, beach, authentic culture, wildlife. Hands down will stay again "

Slice Of Paradise Beach Bungalow, sleeps 2 - 5, full kitchen, 2 baths, AC, &more

Excellent Jungle and beach home

"My family of 5 had a fantastic stay. We used both bungalows, although the bigger bungalow (that I am reviewing here) was plenty big enough for the 5 of us. Air conditioning was excellent in the bedroom upstairs and the living and kitchen area downstairs, which mattered to me! Staying in this home really felt like staying in the jungle, with plenty of wildlife from the lizards that join you, to the monekeys that came by and even ate from my family’s hands! Ron and his wife Giselle were very kind and considerate hosts, and live next door on the same plot so they are always on hand. Ron was able to recommend a fantastic wildlife tour where we saw monkeys, crocodiles, even an ocelot! And recommended many other activities. He is well connected in the area. We loved that the location felt ‘local’, and the restaurants were excellent around nearby, and the beach was only 50 yards away, and very very quiet. Great stay - thanks!"

Beautiful and very unique

"We loved staying here and would have loved to stay longer. The view of the Pacific is stunning, and the house is incredibly unique with its design and indoor/open air layout. The wildlife is amazing with the house being located in the middle of the jungle; we saw cool lizards and a dozen or more monkeys! Highly recommend!"

Your own house in the jungle, 5 minutes from the beach!

Beautiful Costa Rican retreat

"Loved every minute of being here! Beautiful views all around! The main part of the house is completely opened to outside! Which we loved. We felt very safe at all times! We heard monkeys and saw a toucan. Tons of butterflies and hummingbirds flying all around! Dennis the property manager was very helpful and always available! Thanks for the stay and we definitely recommend going to Costa Rica and staying at this beautiful house!"

Wonderful stay with amazing hosts

"Ron and Giselle were amazing hosts for our wonderful stay at Slice of Paradise. We were entranced by literally hundreds of butterflies as we strolled the 100 meters to the amazing beach; where we could choose to sit in the sun or under the shade of the palms, as we enjoyed the ocean breeze, ocean surf, and amazing sunsets. Ron and Gazelle were very responsive to our needs and requests. They were particularly helpful in sharing local knowledge regarding the excellent area excursions available to enhance our enjoyment of the Costa Rican Pura Vida hospitality. Everything was very easy and we had a wonderful time Thank you, Ron and Giselle! Tom & Lora"
