"This is a wonderful and clean boutique hotel. The last mile and a half drive to the property is a narrow, winding and steep road, but the drive is well worth it. The view from the rooms is spectacular looking out onto the ocean and amazing sunsets. The staff made our stay. The waiters were very friendly and gave us information about the area and wildlife. "Everything was great until the last night. We decide to eat at the Restaurant after having a little ng hike.. At first we were turned away as they said we needed reservations as they were full. We were never told we needed reservations. After complaining they said we could come back in 40 min - 1 hour. When I complained to the front desk, the reseptionist tried and at first they got not further with the restaurant. After we told them "I guess you do not want our business" the Receptionist...

"Lovely property with responsive hosts. The bungalow properties are uniquely whimsical and private. Perfect location outside of the hustle & bustle of Dominical, but a 20 minute drive away. Grocer & restaurants even closer. No A/C but decent fans available. It’s cooler in the evenings “up the hill” from Dominical. "

We were at the end of our Panama/Costa Rica trip and had actually just decided to cut it short because I was starting to feel sick. But we had this last hike to try out and I was just hoping both that I would feel well enough and also that our car would be able to make it back on the very steep gravel road back from the parking spot (after almost getting stuck around Monteverde earlier on the trip). As we’ve been getting used to we were first to arrive so we had this awesome place completely to ourselves for a little while in the morning before other tourists started to drop in. It really felt like a fairytale.

Paradise!

"The property is beautiful, full of tropical plants and flowers. The gazebo was a great hangout to keep cool. The area is full of wildlife and birds and the beach goes on for miles. The beach is just a short walk from the property. Ron and Gisel were wonderful host and made sure we had everything we needed. We had a wonderful stay and will definitely return. "

Newly Constructed Family Home - Beach & Dominical

The house is really nice.....but

" The directions to the property are terrible when looking for it at 12am. and have never been to Costa Rica, maps.app.goo.gl does not work on a US based cell phone? There was no complimentary bottled water, clothes dryer, hair dryer, wash rags, or cleaning supplies. All beds need memory foam pads. It isn't beach view, its over 1.5 km from the beach, but it is 120m from a busy highway. Also, allow 4 to 5 hrs. to and from SJO airport, for traffic. Just being honest, for future travelers."

Excellent Jungle and beach home

"My family of 5 had a fantastic stay. We used both bungalows, although the bigger bungalow (that I am reviewing here) was plenty big enough for the 5 of us. Air conditioning was excellent in the bedroom upstairs and the living and kitchen area downstairs, which mattered to me! Staying in this home really felt like staying in the jungle, with plenty of wildlife from the lizards that join you, to the monekeys that came by and even ate from my family’s hands! Ron and his wife Giselle were very kind and considerate hosts, and live next door on the same plot so they are always on hand. Ron was able to recommend a fantastic wildlife tour where we saw monkeys, crocodiles, even an ocelot! And recommended many other activities. He is well connected in the area. We loved that the location felt ‘local’, and the restaurants were excellent around nearby, and the beach was only 50 yards away, and very very quiet. Great stay - thanks!"
