"This resort has seen better days! Most of the structures are older and have not been kept in good repair. Wood decking around pool area is coming loose and is hazardous. Pool itself needs repairs. Rooms are more rustic but have modern combo locks on dorrs. our lock malfunctioned, so we were upgraded to the deluxe "house". This was much bigger and better with a full kitchen, and was further from the main road which meant it was quieter. staying in units near the road would be very loud. Staff was...

The property is a bit older but it’s well cared for. If you don’t like this property then you probably won’t like any property even if you spend way more money. Thanks for our enjoyable stay!!"

"The location was perfect, the unit was clean and tastefully decorated, looks exactly as advertised. However, there were a few hiccups. The dishwasher was not operational, nor was the upstairs guest toilet. No hot water in the downstairs shower, no cold water in the upstairs guest shower. We made it work, but it kept us from giving 5 stars."

"Samara Pacific Lodge is a hidden gem for our Samara adventure! The location was perfect. We could walk to the beach for some surfing in the mornings, then head into town for delicious local eats in the afternoons. In the evenings, the pool area was a lifesaver! Nice and refreshing, with plenty of comfy loungers to catch some rays and unwind. The staff here were incredible. Kenneth and Allen were so friendly and helpful, always going above and beyond with a smile. And breakfast every morning...

"I had such an amazing experience at this property in Nosara. Coltin was an excellent host and he answered all of our detailed questions from beginning to end. He was extremely responsive and on top of every little detail. The property was very clean and everything was just like the photos. "Before you walk through the gates, you’ll be wondering if this is one of the bad hostel’s on your trip… but as soon as you check in and meet pepe, you’ll quickly feel like home. There’s a lot of space, the rooms are clean, the kitchen doesn’t really need anything and, best of all, you’ll become friends woth Pepe and his wonderful dog It’s too far away from the beach to walk but you can easily get a collectivo and isn’t very much."
