"I cannot say enough about how amazing this property was. First, the propery is gorgeous and is exactly as the description mentions, so much space and amenities. Second, the location is top notch, the community has a ton to do, from the beach club to the JW Marriott facilities to the golf course. Third, the owners' communication made everything so easy. They were able to answer every question about groceries, activities and dining. They were simply amazing. What a great week! One tip if you rent a car is to have a vehicle that can handle some bumpy roads. The roads outside Hacienda Pinilla are definitely in a state of repair. "

"From the moment we landed in Costa Rica until our reluctant departure, our experience at this property was nothing short of extraordinary. The attention to detail and level of service exceeded our expectations at every turn.Our journey began with a warm welcome from our dedicated driver who met us at the airport. What we didn't realize then was that he would become an invaluable part of our vacation - always available to take us wherever we needed, whenever we wanted. His assistance with translation was particularly helpful as neither my wife nor I speak Spanish, making our explorations of the local area seamless and stress-free.The house itself is simply impeccable. The daily housekeeping service maintained everything in pristine condition throughout our stay. The pool was incredible - perfectly maintained and inviting after days of adventure. The entire property is meticulously cared for, creating an atmosphere where you truly feel at home while being surrounded by luxury.One of the property's greatest assets is its location. The short path leading directly to the beach allowed us to witness breathtaking sunsets each evening. The natural beauty surrounding the property is awe-inspiring.Despite the numerous attractions Costa Rica offers, we often found ourselves reluctant to leave the house. Everything we needed was right there, wrapped in comfort and convenience. The host's communication was exceptional. If there were a six-star rating option, I’d select it!"

"We had a wonderful 9 night stay at Alejandro’s property. The spacious house is beautiful and very well equipped. We really enjoyed the large pool, multiple hammocks, and the beach a short walk away.Alejandro is an exceptional host! He is very responsive, and goes above and beyond to help with anything you need or questions you may have. 10/10!"

"Stayed at the Villa with family (infants included). The house was spacious and designed well to host all of us. House was clean and had everything we needed from pool toys to kitchen essentials. The daily housekeeping was nice to have as well - thanks Carla!! We also enjoyed the e-bikes, close location to several beaches, and activities provided onsite (horseback riding, ziplining, beach club, small market). Only issue was the roads. Inside the neighborhood everything was smooth riding, but the road to Avellanas Beach and halfway to Tamarindo took some navigating (massive potholes and ruts). Not really a Hacienda Pinilla issue though since these are public roads and would just be a preference thing depending on how often a group wants to leave the resort area. We had a rental car to drive around - 4 wheel drive is a must, but if you don’t like feeling like you are off roading suggest to stay on the resort since there is more than enough to do and is awesome or hire transportation!"

"This property is beautiful and the Hacienda Pinilla complex is gorgeous. We loved the house and it's grounds. There are a few details that could make it outstanding, like a new grill, stove-top, and cookware. Otherwise it was fantastic and we would definitely recommend it.Georgia was responsive to our needs."

"This setting makes for a dream vacation. So much so that I almost don't want to write a review and have more people want to use it and make it unavailable. The house is comfortable and beautiful. The outside grounds, pool, hot tub, kitchen, sand and setup are perfect. And, the beach is right there too.The staff and management company are all top drawer.We look forward to another magical vacation right there again."

"Our stay at the JW Marriott Guanacaste Resort was nothing short of perfect! The property was beautiful & well maintained, the staff was friendly, the food was delicious, & the excursions were well organized & fun. Our room was cleaned & restocked to perfection each day & we were so happy we’d thought to reserve a room with an ocean-facing balcony. Each night, the sunset was an event not to be missed! In addition, the serpentine, infinity pool was large enough to provide guests with varying levels of enjoyment. A water volleyball game at one end of the pool went unnoticed by guests looking for quiet relaxation in another area. Over the course of our week-long stay, we got to experience the warmth & friendly service of the resort staff. We looked forward to being greeted each day by hostess, Karen, who greeted us by name & easily recalled our dining preferences. In addition, Josue and Gustavo, stand out for their exceptional service & sincere interest in our comfort & enjoyment of the property’s many amenities. As vegetarians/pescatarians & coffee lovers who do most of our own cooking, we were concerned that the resort would not meet our dining preferences. The opposite was true: the breakfast buffet at the resort restaurant, Pimento, had something for everyone. Local fruit, along with the biggest buffet we’ve ever seen, including egg & quesadilla bars, provided a substantial start to each day’s activities. "We had a great Christmas at casa Kenkai and look forward to coming back. The team is very communicative and helpful. The beds were comfortable and the neighborhood was quiet. We did hear lots of animals at night and early morning- monkeys, coyotes, frogs, and many birds! It was fun for our kids. "
