"Some things may be a little outdated in the Nara Visitor Center & Inn but it is the best bang for your buck in town & the staff was outstanding - so friendly & helpful! I’m so glad we decided to spend a couple of days in Nara instead of just doing it as the day trip that it is so often marketed as. "The property itself was very nice. The area around it is not that great. Still the area is safe but there are homeless & the train tracks are right next to the hotel. So you will hear the train passing from 5am-12am daily. You will be very close to multiple different train stations all within 7-10 min walk away from the hotel. "
