"Hotel itself has a great restaurant inside and all the smaller ammenities you would need for a short or long stay. Room was comfortable for two people, but the walls are thin so just know that you will hear people from time to time. Lucky to have the place to stay at overall. "

"lili kyoto is not a typical hotel. It is small — three units on the ground floor, probably about the same on the floor above (I didn’t take the elevator up to check). It is totally unstaffed; to get in the front door you must obtain a code from the owner/manager. I got mine by having a nice lady in the Kyoto railway station tourist office call the owner/manager, who promptly emailed instructions. The front “lobby” and hallway are unheated. There is no breakfast buffet, no vending machines, none...

"The front desk was very helpful. I got there earlier than my check in time so I left my luggage there. By the time I came back to get my room, the luggage was already bought up to the room. They also guided me through luggage delivery to my next destination. Even more important was the front desk helped me make a reservation to a restaurant. The location is okay, there’s a 7-11 one block away and Lawson right next door. It was walking distance to Gion, the Nishiki market, and more!"
