"Great location and public areas comfortable and inviting, however the lake view room was smaller than expected and too warm. (The radiator couldn’t be turned down however there was air conditioning in the room but it seems environmentally unfriendly to have the heating and cooling working against each other). "Free parking and views of lake from the dining room were very good. Half board - the dinner was good but overpriced so the 10% service charge worked out extortionate. NOT GOOD We were put in a small loft room with a difficult door to open and a tight stair access- the room and whole property needs a lick of paint and could be cleaner. Location too far from bowness - walking into town is 20minutes but on both roads which had no pavement so very dangerous. Wouldn’t stay here again ."

"We booked a romantic weekend stay at Lindeth Howe after we saw the good reviews. We have been staying in the South Lakes several times a year for over 30 years and used to own a property locally. However, we never got round to booking Lindeth Howe and we have now realised this was a big mistake. From now on this hotel will be our 'go to' hotel in the area. "Hotel was nice although the pool was cold and the steam room wasn't working. My room was ground floor and as a solo female traveller, I would've preferred a room on 1st floor or above but it was clean and an ok size for one person. Food was great, very good selection for breakfast and all cooked fresh. Good, walkable distance from town with good public transport links to other areas. "
