The hotel was easy to find, being on the main road to Bowness, it was well signposted but still keep an eye out as it comes upon you quickly. There is plenty of parking on the front but more convenient a large carpark behind. There is a lot of work upgrading the outside infront of rooms that should be lovely. Inside the hotel reception is in the older part but has very nice seating a bar and restaurant.
The staff are very friendly and helpful.
The room had a large kingside bed, a flat screen TV, plenty of draws, wardrobe and dressing table, the bathroom was of good size with shower over the bath although the shower screen had the rubber bit missing of the bottom so you have to be careful not to get water all over, also the towel rail was on ALL the time so very hot as was the radiator in the room, it was cold outside and having a warm room was welcome but it was just too hot whilst sleeping.
We didn't eat at the restaurant so could not coment, but the breakfast was very nice with plentiful continental offerings and the full English was also very nice.
We didn't use the spa facilities either.
Overall a lovely 2 night stay
