"Enjoyed our stay very much, I liked our room which was outside the main hotel, my only comment was it could do with modernising inside with a coat of paint"

"Such a lovely place to rest our head for the evening. Walking distance to the train station where we met our tour guide for the tour of Hilltop (Beatrix Potter’s house). The breakfast was absolutely delish! Staff was so friendly! Our room was spacious and so very clean. Also, our bed was quite comfortable. My daughter and I loved this place."

We were the only ones in the dinning room between 6 and 7 so not sure what happened. We also were charged for two beers after we had checked out…. We had to call to find out what the charge was, maybe we could of been notified at check out that you forgot...

"We had a lovely stay here. There is on street parking, and also you can park at the back. The hotel owner was friendly and helpful with any advice you needed with regard to nearby walks and amenities. We came with friends for a seventies themed murder, mystery night. The photo you see was taken in the hotel's front garden. The hotel was also very close to all amenities. The room was comfortable and we were well supplied with towels and toiletries. I think the room was good value for money,...

"The stay was over priced. £100 for B&B out of season in a very small (9' x 10'6") room with bathroom only slightly larger than the bathroom on an aircraft. There was no room for a chair in the room. A single bed would have been more appropriate for this room. The decor of the room was however very good. The stay did not compare well with my stay at a pub the nights before and after which was priced at £55 for B&B with an appreciable larger and well appointed room, and an equally good breakfast,...

"Good communication throughout as this hotel.does look closed initially.anf I think it works on opening for bookings as no main reception and on booking out leave keys in room and leave via fire exit. Demi however was extremely welcoming and apologetic about there being no kitchen or bar services due to.power .. The room was very spacious, plenty of hot water and beds very comfy. Don't let other reviews put you off. Although your not normal run of the mill hotel were staff are on hand think...
