"Staff where lovely and welcoming upon arrival, we’re happy to answer any questions we had. Room was lovely and clean and very spacious. Loved our stay."

"This was our 3rd visit to Lumley Castle & it was just as great as previous ones. We wanted a relaxing break & it was exactly that. The staff were excellent & nothing was too much trouble. I do have one suggestion however regarding the bar menu. The library bar is a nice alternative to the restaurant especially if you just want a drink but we would have liked to enjoy some snacks to enjoy with our drinks but the only choices were pork scratchings & olives, no crisps or nuts. We also would have liked some ighter healthier meal choices eg. Caesar salad rather than the heavier choices of meat pie, burgers & fish n chips which were not our choice as the weather was very warm. The restaurant food however was excellent if a little pricey. Overall we enjoyed our stay very much & hope to return very soon. "

"I visit Newcastle every 3-4 months and always stay at this hotel. The staff are all very helpful, friendly and nothing is ever too much for them. The property is very central to everything such as shops, train station, restaurants and local sights. Cannot recommend this hotel enough. "

"Booked with grey street as an upgrade to our usual hotel. We were not disappointed, in fact this will be our go to from now on, breakfast was absolutely delicious compliments to the chef, fresh pastries and poached eggs to perfection. Cleanliness of the room was superb. Everything was catered for including my request for a room with a bath and boy did they deliver. We will be back for sure. "
