"The heating was not on in the hotel. As it was cold on the evening the receptionist supplied us with a convecter heater. Top marks for a very helpful receptionist. The towels were rather thin and hard. I would have expected thick, fluffy towels. The breakfast was very good with a nice menue.. However, I would prefer to help myself instead of waitress service. This may have been due to not many people staying there."

"Excellent location directly opposite the main train station. All major attractions are walkable. All staff were pleasant and efficient. Tea & coffee making and biscuits were great. A modern bathroom with excellent water pressure. Howe er the bed was a double bed with an uncomfortable old fashioned mattress.
