"Nice enough hotel but confusing development without good signage of how to get to your room. The 4th floor is broken up by the middle Section which only has 3 floors, so unless you know this is the layout, it could take you a while to find your room on the 4th floor. "The room itself was fine and the staff was most excellent. I guess it felt like the downstairs from the reception desk was akin to a dungeon. A bit rough around the edges. Walls are pretty thin so you could hear neighbors sneezing and talking. The refrigerator didn’t work so some breakfast food I bought spoiled. We weren’t staying long so we didn’t bother the staff with these things. We would stay here again though, just in the better rooms on the other side of the hotel (this was our second...

"Nice hotel near downtown Ventura and the beach. Valet parking, at a reasonable price. Easily walkable to downtown and the beach, as well as the boardwalk. Several restaurants nearby. Downside - barn door for the bathroom, so your partner can hear and smell everything going on inside and the light wakes up your partner at night. Please hotels! Stop using the barndoor set up for the bathrooms."
