"Absolutely beautiful hotel. What I love the most is the private onsen in the room. It's in a semi-open space (not in the room, but under a roof kind of in the back balcony). The private onsen refills itself, and temperature regulated. It was amazing. Beautiful scenery, excellent staff, exceptional breakfast."

"Staff went far beyond what we expected. Every single person was always accommodating and helpful. The room was magnificent. In hindsight I think a regular tub would have been enough. "I usually don't review stays, but i had to for this Ryokan Yamazaki! The property is clean, quiet, beautiful and peaceful. Above all, the service we received was outstanding. The staff are very kind and patient. They were very understanding with foreigners as well, and explained everything we needed. I was very sick to my stomach when i arrived, due to motion sickness. My husband went to ask for directions to a pharmacy, and the staff drove him there personally and helped him pick out medicine!...
