"The week before we went i saw a number of reviews complaining about the fees at check in and the state of the property. Yeah, they charge a ~$35 per night amenities fee and $100 per night hold for incidentals - that can add up. But the restaurant on site/next door is very good with friendly staff and a nice bar, we ate and drank there a number of evenings out of exhaustion. Also, yes the property is old, that’s part of its funky appeal. If you want to stay at the Marriot it's literally right...
