To stay self is all right I find it atrocious to pay so much to basically stay in a small tiny bedroom. They also did not let us know ahead of time that there would be a strike on going from 7 AM to 10 PM daily and that was super inconvenient and I don’t feel like they comped us enough for the lack of sleep.

The room was next to another building which was incredibly noisy due to the AC units running on the rooftop. A clanking sound throughout the entire night could be heard. I arrived late and had to be up at 4:40 in the morning which was absolutely horrible. I must have gotten 2 hours of sleep due to the outdoor noise and the clanking coming from the floor above. I stayed in the fifth floor in room 537 so be aware of the noise. Aside from that, no complaints about the cleanliness or the staff. The lobby and bar were very nice.

Property and staff was exceptional BUT…. I wish we had been notified that a 3 month strike was going on directly across the street that our rooms both faced. Rioters with loud speakers AND drums from 7:00am till 10:00pm on the 4 nights we were there. There should be some sort of compensation or discount. Had I known about this prior (it’s been a 3 month strike) chances are very high that I would NOT have booked at Beacon. Staff was great and apologetic but a call-email a month prior should have happened.

I really liked the room and lobby of this hotel. It is right in the center of the city about a block from Macy’s as well as restaurants and shopping. I do wish the rooftop bar was open more often, but that seemed typical for San Francisco.
