"This hotel is a great location to walk into town. The hotel the has been upgraded throughout with a lovely outside seating area, however the swimming pool etc is in need of an upgrade to go in line with the modern decor of the hotel. "

"Had an excellent 2 night break. No delays or issues checking in, friendly greeting, everything was explained. Room was clean, tidy and bigger than expected. We ate in the restaurant in the evening - food was delicious, great service made it a lovely relaxing experience. Breakfast the next day was good, no shortage of choice and freshly cooked buffet and continental food. One issue - one of 2 coffee machines was broken (these things happen), the other on a go slow, so there were queues which could have been better managed, worked around"

"Beautiful hotel right on the town square. Really warm, friendly welcome when we arrived. Had checked in online before we arrived so were given our keys and shown to our room. Room was on the small side (we stayed in Fawn) but really not a problem as we were out all day. Great bathroom and shower, tea and coffee making gear in the room and fresh water and milk in fridges around the hotel so just help yourself and so much better than cartons of UHT! Continental breakfast was included and there was loads of choice, cooked alternatives available to order all freshly made. Everything is within walking distance, some amazing restaurants nearby. Was actually disappointed we didn’t eat in the restaurant as the menu looked fab, again with loads of choices to suit everyone. Stow is so pretty, loads of tea rooms, pubs and shops to wander around. We visited Bourton and Burford, both within a 10-15 minute drive so it’s a great base for exploring. Sad to leave and we’ll definitely be back. Can’t fault the hotel or staff, nothing was too much trouble for them."
