"Great stay in a very friendly hotel. Great location with a very comfortable room and bed. Had a drink in the great stocked bar and went into town for Dinner , food did look amazing in the Hotel but we had booked our restaurant a few days before. Helen the receptionist was so helpful, polite ,professional and very knowledgeable regarding the Hotel and local area. A very Happy traveler "

"Stay at hotel great. Brilliant with dogs! Reception and staff generally extremely helpful. Sadly cannot say same for Hotels.com. Booked room with note I had two dogs. Contacted some time later bye Hotels.com to say I couldn't have dogs in that room and they apparently couldn't get Stratton House to agree to move me to a dog friendly room. ie I had to lose my deposit. Called Stratton House directly myself and they moved me with no issue at all and didn't charge me to move rooms. Would visit Stratton House again but never use Hotels. com again!"

"Excellent South African receptionist and Ali in the restaurant were both helpful and friendly. Good walkable location and the bedroom was comfortable and we slept soundly."

"Great location, close to all amenities. Plenty of restaurants and bars nearby. Many other interesting places only a small drive away. Hotel itself is nearly 400 years old, the whole building has plenty of interesting features. Room was large, clean and very comfortable overlookingthe lovely gardens. Tea, coffe and biscuits were provided."

"Lovely big twin room, comfy beds and Nespresso coffee machine. Short walk through the Montpellier district to get into the town centre. Great breakfast in the morning. Nicely decorated and furnished. "
