"This is an historic pub/inn that is definitely unique. Rooms small, but workable. Because of the age of the building, lighting is dim and the path to guest rooms is not direct - up one set of stairs, down 3, up 2, down the hall, up another set of stairs. Not a lot of fun with luggage, but ok. Staff helpful. Because I am dealing with some vision issues, improved lighting especially on stairs would be a help. Continental breakfast included with room was sufficient. Dinner at the inn was quite good."

"Such a cute little property, experienced both wet and dry weather. Perfectly polished. If you’re not ready for traditional English home, this place is a good compromise. The barn style still made it very much Cotswold like. Getting there was super easy via train & bus. Our route was Paddington station > kingham. Busy stop is up by the parking lot, the 802 bus routes to Library for us. Walking to the property was short and nice. In American walking perspective, we walked 2 San Diego blocks. The barn is enough space for my family 2 adults & 1 child. You definitely can get away with 2 adults occupying both beds. Utilized main bed and pullout couch and both were so comfy! Appreciated the extra blankets and pillows. We had a foldable stroller, so it was easy for us to get up and down the Entrance stairs. Not ideal for wheelchairs. Kitchen was immaculately presentable. The trash bin was hidden which we appreciated. The fridge was stocked with some water, milk and wine. Instant coffee was made available and French press to use. Now the bathroom. Was so perfectly heated, it was the most perfect experience. I could have stayed in there for hours. The room stayed heated and the towel warmers and heated floors worked so well. Great water pressure and complimentary cotton, shampoo and shower gel were given. Towels were clean and enough for our two night stay. Lee, was very responsive. Instructions were very clear. "

"The rooms were amazing! We were concerned about the appearance of the building, but the inside was beautiful! Our room was bright and roomy, clean, safe and very quiet. The owners were very good about communicating in advance with us about getting into the building and finding our room. We did not have a car so cannot address the parking situation, but it didn't appear to be a problem in the village. Everything was nearby and easy to find within a 10 minute walk. We highly recommend The Victoria House, and would stay definitely stay there again."

"I'm simply echoing the rave reviews of everyone else, but Teagles truly is a magical little place. The house was immaculate, comfy, fully updated, and perfect for our family of five adults. With four bedrooms, three twin beds, and two King beds, the cottage comfortably sleeps seven. Lindsay was the best hostess: directions and check-in were easy and clear, wonderful communications, and the home is stocked with everything imaginable - including a bottle of milk, wine, crackers, and dessert. Traveling from the U.S., it helped enormously to have a washer and dryer and hair dryers at the house. The location couldn't be more perfect, on a side street just across from the historic Porch House pub and just a few steps down from StowTown Coffee, where we treated ourselves to the best coffee each morning. Stow-on-the-Wold is bustling with tourists during the day but is a quiet little town at night, so even with the windows open at night, it always was quiet and peaceful. Plus, Stow was the perfect town to operate as a home base for touring the rest of The Cotswolds. 10/10 recommend. "
