"Tall guy with a buzz cut in his 20s deserves a pay raise. The door to the pool wouldn’t open when we used our key cards nor when we slammed our bodies into the door, he took us outside and hopped the fence to open the outside door so we could enjoy the hot tub on our anniversary night. Love that guy, he’s awesome."

"Hotel Paradox is the place to stay when coming to Santa Cruz! Such a great location! Such a great property! Walking distance to a lot of the shops and dining! Or driving if you don’t want to walk! This hotel being dog friendly is such a plus! The rooms are spacious and very well designed! The ONLY thing that caught us by slight surprise was the $28 a night for parking. Not a crazy big deal though! Oh! And let’s not forget the heated pool and hot tub!!! Such a big plus after a long day of...

"The gentleman that checked us in was extremely helpful. He went above and beyond to make sure we were comfortable in our room. My husband has a movement disorder so I reserved the room with a roll in shower. Make sure to ask for a shower mat and bath bench. The shower is very slippery. This hotel has a new owner and hopefully it will continue to be a 5 star (in my opinion) hotel. "
