I was reluctant to use a hotel with no on site personnel. It was a great experience. Absolutely better than the cursory front desk personnel. Kept us up to date on any info and instantly responded to one brief inquiry. Kitchenette sparse with no condiments like salt and pepper, drying or hand towels,...

"This was a bare bones hotel. The room was clean and the beds were comfortable. There was Wi-Fi and a tv, and not much else. If all you want is a comfortable bed, then this is the place for you. "

"Even though I stayed here during a hurricane lost power, the manager of the hotel took it upon himself to feed everybody. That was there if I could give this place 10 stars I would."

"We had a great getaway for three days. The pictures and description don’t do the place justice. A great cabin to relax and reconnect. Just sitting on the rocking chairs on the porch with a coffee, a canoe trip on the river and sitting by the fire place was everything we needed. Skip was a great host and responded right away, making sure we had everything we needed. Would recommend anytime - 4x4 is recommended when rainy :-) Thank you for a great stay!"
