Easy access to public transportation, but also easy to walk to the sights or just to wander down little side canals. But the main draw is the people. "It was right on the canal. It wasn't on the grand canal, so it wasn't busy. Restaurants were right next door, and they provided a wonderful breakfast. They helped provide us water taxis and had some services available free of change for hotel guests. Would recommend to anyone. "
