"This hotel is in an ideal spot for a trip to Venice. The hotel itself is lovely and has a good breakfast offering each morning. Our room was really nice and enough space to settle in to each day. The staff are all very nice and helpful when you needed anything. They have a bar which have seats just outside the front of the hotel which allows you to watch the vaporetti go by. Location wise its within easy walking distance of the Rialto bridge and also of a ferry stop to and from the airport. Situated on the grand canal itself yet quiet enough to allow for a lovely nights sleep in a comfortable bed. Definitely a hotel I would recommend."

"I researched for a hotel near Piazza San Marco because my husband cannot walk long distances and much of what we wanted to do was located in the vicinity of the piazza. Hotel Cavalletto e Doge Orseolo Was PERFECT. You walked out the non-water side door off reception, went a few steps up a small bridge and once over the bridge were in the piazza! If you made a left out of the door you found yourself in the lovely, tiny streets of Venice and you really could not get lost because you only had to find your way back to the piazza to easily find your way to the hotel. Make sure to take an early morning walk before the influx of tourists for the day - it’s magical! The room was lovely albeit on the smaller side, very clean, and the bathroom was very nicely sized. Overall, the service was excellent. The daily included breakfast was wonderful, with a delightful array of choices. This hotel is part of a group of hotels in Venice, and one nearby hotel also has a delightful restaurant - San Marco Restaurant- where you get 10% off. We ate there and it was excellent. The location is just steps away from the piazza and easy to get to from the piazza. Considering the proximity to the piazza we found that the prices were fair and the food was fresh, delicious and well-portioned. We would stay here again and highly recommend. "

"This hotel has a perfect location. Rooms are outdated but suitable for needs, very clean, beds are hard but we did not mind that. Tea, coffee facilities and mini bar available at a price. Shower was excellent. Staff very friendly and accommodating; luggage storage available to save carting it around on the last day. We would definitely book this hotel again. "
