"Beautiful property, huge pool, variety of restaurants. Slightly isolated from any towns (half hour drive to Tamarindo and they have a shuttle). Walked to a nice beach restaurant, Lola’s. Could advertise that the spa has a sauna, steam room and small pool. Spa prices were high for Central America but service was good. Really enjoyed the Tamarine Restaurant. Room was very comfortable with a large bathtub. Pool is huge. Nice property, about an hour and a half from Liberia airport. Found a less expensive van to and from Liberia airport than what the Marriott offered. "

"Very cute property. The three of us liked our two bedrooms (queen, king, and bunk beds) with small kitchenette. The property has a security gate so we felt quite secure (most all the properties seem to have this - it seems to be a Costa Rica thing). The units are spread among several small buildings that ascend a hillside so there is an inclined path (and a few stairs) leading to most of them. Its very beautiful with much shade due to the many mature trees and bushes. Lots of flowers. The pool is small but refreshing. Breakfast was in the covered area next to the pool. There were a selection of 3 made to order options each morning plus juice, coffee, fruit, toast, etc. The area is quiet and the wall unit ac's with remotes worked great - though the bathroom is not included in the a/c area and has screen only windows to let out the humidity (or let it in!). We left the doors to the bathroom closed. The roads up the to property (along with the others nearby) are mostly dirt with a little gravel, somewhat steep, and last bit is bumpy. It was fine for our AWD vehicle and probably would be fine for a 2 WD vehicle. The walk to the beach took about ten minutes. Hotel is in a quiet area away from all the congestion and shopping but easy to walk if you don't mind a little dust and inclines (on the return from the beach/shopping area). Owners are very nice. We enjoyed our stay. Oh! And the wifi was excellent! Best of the four hotels we stayed in in Costa Rica. "

"What a wonderful hotel! I can’t imagine a better place for our family to spend a week. We loved the views from the restaurants and pools, and especially from our room (gorgeous vistas over the jungle and monkeys swinging in a tree just off our balcony.) Our room was beautiful and so comfortable and well appointed. Staff is amazing. We enjoyed the beach below the hotel, the jungle walk, the yoga studio and the bird walk. We also drove to area beaches and restaurants- but were always happy to return to our oasis on the hilltop! I would return in a heartbeat. "

"It’s a tired hotel and definitely understaffed but the food options were always great and the location is unmatched. It is located in the quieter Playa Langosta but still close enough to Tamarindo for some outings."
