"We arrived very early (noonish) from the airport and were expecting to wait for our room. They quickly checked us in and we were in our room within 10 minutes of arriving. Everyone was very nice and helpful. The grounds are beautiful and interesting to walk through. Great history of the hotel. Found everything to be immaculate. Close to Petco park which is why we were there. We found a great little place for breakfast (Cafe 222) just a few short blocks away and a Ralph’s a couple blocks...

"This was the perfect long weekend getaway! We had an oceanfront villa that was the ideal home away from home. The pool was heated and open late which the kids loved. Parking for the villas was super convenient. The hotel staff was so nice and the resort is very kid friendly but has an upscale adult feel which we loved! "

"Loved our stay, but two points to be aware of: 1.) the beach is often closed to get into the water due to sanitation issues flowing up from the Tijuana River. 2.) skip the breakfast buffet…$75 per person $21 per drink…lots of great breakfast places nearby on Orange street."

"Love this resort with all the wildlife and pools and friendly staff. We did have a ton of ants in room 602 when we moved rooms. They were all over the bathroom. Other than that everything was wonderful. "

"Gorgeous, old world charm. Closest you can get to European feeling in the US. Note the building is old so noticed a musty smell in the room and the elevator is old and tiny. Beds were comfortable, and pool area is heavenly. Staff and service were 5-star. Dining was overpriced but the views were lovely. Would absolutely stay again. "
