We walked everywhere except took the bus from the hotel to the older city of Gion for less than $2 USD. The shopping is great 20 min walk to high end department stores. Lots of great restaurants. "

"Great location - walkable to a lot of sights and close to 2 train stations for easy access to other areas; 1 min walk to the riverside. Lots of restaurants and basic shopping needs in the area. Rooms were new, clean and spacious, and the complimentary coffee bar was great. At times a little noisy at night when louder / rowdy people walk by, but overall an excellent experience. Would definitely stay here again. "
