"we told them that we would arrive at 11pm at the airport and that we would need a pick up from their hotel. they agreed but did not show up. also they gave our room to someone else and made us stay at a different hotel far lower quality without our consent and it wasnt clean. overall, disappointment at their level if service. "It was fantastic for us to have a large space (2 bed apartment) in the middle of our Vietnam trip. The hotel felt a little outdated though and the main bathroom flooded into the hallway and the poor hotel staff was on her hands and knees with me trying to mop up! It felt like the drain in the bathroom was uphill rather than down.... Location was fine for walking but tours would not pick us up due to not being in the old quarter, travellers beware! Local shops meant we could easily access food...

"My husband and I had the pleasure of staying at the Oriental Jade Hotel in Hanoi, and it absolutely exceeded all expectations! The hotel itself is beautiful, with a perfect blend of modern elegance and local charm. What truly made the experience exceptional, though, was the staff. They were incredibly friendly and attentive, always going above and beyond to make our stay memorable. One night, when we were headed out for a late dinner, a staff member even walked us all the way to the restaurant—such a thoughtful touch! The food suggestions provided by the staff were spot-on, and every meal we had was delicious. I also have to mention the coffee class the hotel organized—it was an unforgettable experience that added a unique local flavor to our trip.
