"This is a beautiful, large house designed and constructed in the 1930s for a wealthy Hilo family. The main interiors are dark wood, with original custom bannisters and similar craftsmanship, and the furnishings are period-correct. The present owners have upgraded in various ways, including adding in-room air conditioning (we didn't need, but it was nice to have the option), retrofitted bathrooms, kitchen, wiring, and similar. "This house was PERFECT for our family! Gorgeous views of the ocean from the dining table, outside benches, chairs on the pool, and the lanai!! Great to have two master bedrooms with 2 bathrooms. Exactly as listed! Soo many places to rest/relax and enjoy this beautiful property! Fully equipped kitchen. They have everything you could want or need including life vests, snorkeling gear, beach chairs, cooler. They truly thought of everything! Hope we are fortunate enough to stay here again!"
