5/5 Excellent
"The location of this hotel is unbeatable. The volcano crater is right at the back of the hotel. And it's one of the best spot to view the crater. You can view it from the lobby and dining room, or walk out for a more open view.
One thing that makes staying here really great is that: you could only see the red lava when it's dark (and cold). So ppl stay late or come in really early to watch the sun rise. Staying here makes everything convenient.
The food in the restaurant was actually not bad and reasonably priced given the location and view. (a delightful surprise). Breakfast was more pleasant since it was mostly the hotel guests so not crowded.
Hotel facilities were old. But I didn't have high expectation so wasn't too disappointed. Staff were nice and always trying to help. The rooms have baseboard heating. Water was not hot enough for shower at 8. It got warmer at 10. That's the only critical complaint we had. "
