This unique and beautiful tropical home offers 3200 sq ft of lovingly designed tropical comfort. Starting with essentials, nothing is missing in the huge open plan kitchen. Bake trays, multiple knife and fork sets, colorful crockery and more pots and pans than you will probably ever need. Bake, roast, fry, boil, steam , you can do it all.

Next we go to care items that you MIGHT need. First Aid box Fire Extinguisher, cutting and other tools .

A land line phone is provided for your use, to make calls anywhere in the USA, at no charge.

Comfort and pleasure has been intended here: All furniture is lush, sturdy, comfortable and made from high quality materials.

A tropical one full acre of beautifully maintained yard and garden add a remarkable ambiance to this alluring home. Many types of tropical fruit a re there for the picking, swaying palms, banana trees and lovely flowering plants adorn this one of a kind place. From inside the home on the upper lanai level, and from the outside deck-lanai you can see the Pacific Ocean. The sunrises and sunsets are a photographer's dream !

We have a desk and writing paper, a small screen TV with a DVR and a selection of videos and books, fiction and non fiction. For those guests who fund they had left behind their dental hygiene stuff, we have a selection of teeth brushes, floss, and mouth wash. You only have to ask and whatever you need will be provided at no charge.

The pool with magnificent water slide, jacuzzi and sand pool for kiddies, are all here for your relaxation and pleasure. During your welcome tour we will show you how to operate everything. Our guests are free to pick fruit from the garden and enjoy.

Honomu Place is close to Hilo town, a charming clean, quiet and interesting place more reminiscent of an older style area, though the gift stores, food shops, and farmer's market are all well stocked and staffed to provide whatever you might want .

Honomu village is a landmark place, with a row of stores, including hand craft Hawaiian wood and other products. For activities, the famous Akaka Falls are a short drive away from our home. The Honomu Zip line in within walking distance, and there are beaches, parks, shopping centers, tropical gardens, scenic drives, the volcano, lava flows, rock pools, snow topped mountain, world class star gazing scopes, scuba diving, snorkeling, whale and dolphin boat rides and sightings, the famous Hawaiian green turtle, and so much more. Rain forests turn into ghostly lava scenes of devastation, and back to lush green forest.

All this information is provided in careful detail for you on the desk in the main living room. There will be a welcome package with addresses, maps, pictures and directions to wherever you desire to go.

Great family vacation house
10 people ranging in age from 4 to 78. We all had a wonderful time. Our only difficulty was that we were unaware that the host was out of town. His neighbour helped us but when we arrived he just initially introduced himself as Anthony's friend. Later in the conversation, we realized he was there to greet us and show us around. I did send Anthony a message during our stay and he got back to me right away.The house is lovely and spacious. The kitchen is very well equipped and easy to work in.The pool area is spectacular - we all really enjoyed the waterslide. The pool man came during our stay to maintain the pool.The grounds were very neat and tidy. There was some fallen fruit but that is to be expected as the trees were laden.I would certainly stay here again if travelling in a large group.

We loved staying here. Plenty of room for everyone, quiet neighborhood, close to waterfalls, ocean, scenic drive and Hilo. The water slide was awesome! The outdoor space was great, kitchen was spacious.

This was a great place to stay. Lots of room for all 10 of us! The house was well stocked and the pool was great. We picked oranges and star fruit from yard which were delicious! I would recommend folks staying here if you have a large group!

Great Stay for Large Groups - Amazing Pool!
We had a great stay (4 adults, two kids ages 7 and 13) the house was spacious, but the pool was the prize winner with everyone in our group! Anthony was very communicative and hospitable and the house was well stocked with almost everything you could want or need.

This was a beautiful house that accommodated all fourteen of us ranging ages from 1-75. Everybody enjoyed the pool especially the water slide and there was plenty of rooms and beds for everyone will defiantly come back.

Amazing home inside & out with a great location!
We all loved the slide, pool & hot tube. The house and pool area were even more spacious than the pictures. Everything was easy & the host was very responsive and helpful. The location is great, right next to waterfalls. We can't wait to go back.

Wonderful experience
This home was exceptional! We enjoyed every second of our stay here and will definitely be back in the future! Anthony was a very caring and thoughtful host. Our group had a blast enjoying the home and of course, the amazing pool, slide, and hot tub. The view of the stars at night was an experience I'll never forget!

Paradise!!
Our family ranged from 18-65, and everyone loved this private piece of paradise. The pool, slide and cabana were definitely the highlight, we couldn’t wait to get back and jump in! ProsNice big kitchen and dining room.Beautiful yard with lots of trees.Comfortable beds in at least two bedrooms.Two nice bedrooms.Nice soft sheets.Clean floors.Nice couches in the den.Care taker living next door nice guy.ConsMost furniture inside and outside were stained, worn with holes and or wobbly.Squishy flooring on downstairs deck.Dingy towels.Awkward maze flow to the house and pool area.No paper or pens.Random pest control around the property.Not childproof.No Kamaaina rate offered.A lot of ants in the den bathroom shower.You have to hook up the tv from the closet in the den. WiFi ok, Not available in all the rooms. Maintenance people showing up at all hours. One day three times in one day, morning, noon and nite. Odd pool hours 9am-5pm.Pool slide never just worked. Always an issue turning on or off.Hot tub never worked.Odd and uncomfortable pool house bedroom made of cinderblocks and one opening window, fold out couch, air mattress and super thin top bunk mattress with plastic all over it. Must remove all your trash before you leave. SummaryWould rent in this neighborhood again but not this property.

Hawaii Family Vacation
The house and location were gorgeous! We spent most of the time in the pool area when we weren't enjoying the many local attractions. The slide was definitely added fun and enjoyed by everyone. The yard and fruit trees were an added bonus. I would absolutely recommend this house to everyone! You won't be disappointed!

Truly a gem
We have stayed in a lot of places, this place is a jewel. The kitchen is incredibly stocked, the homeowners are generous with items already in the pantry, and they left a lovely welcome basket. The house is very comfortable, elegantly decorated and with a yard of your dreams. We loved our stay. The location is on the quieter side of the island and you do have to drive for most sights but on the big island, you are doing that anyway.

Family staycation
We had a very enjoyable family staycation. My teenagers lived in the pool our entire stay. They had a blast on the water slide. The kitchen and bedrooms were clean and spacious. We also loved Tiger the neighborhood cat who would come up to us on the patio for pets and treats. Anthony was a pleasure to work with, always so accommodating and easy to get in touch with. Disneyland in Hawaii
Our two grandkids, ages 6 and 9 played in the pool and had a blast on the slide from sunup to sundown. The slide was better than the rides at Disneyland with no waiting! There was an abundance of everything we needed, towels, toys, kitchen items, etc. We had a fantastic time!

Great but needs some love...
The overall property was a good option for our large group with lots of space and privacy. Loved the well stocked kitchen. The pool, hot tub and water slide were awesome. We gave this a 5 star based on the above and also that Anthony was very responsive and accommodating, however the property does need some TLC as well as some updated photos and descriptions of some of the spaces. The rooms as described were hard to figure out once we were at the property including some which were actually in the garage and not the main house. Small things like signage for which light switches controlled the fans, AC units and outdoor lighting, or a map would be helpful for future guests. The grounds are spacious and beautiful however very overgrown and in need of some love. We couldn't locate any fruit trees other than one that was hard to get to due to overgrowth. The rock bridge is the access point to the pool and sitting area however the rocky surface was challenging for some younger and older family member. Overall we would stay here again.

Hilo playground
Our family enjoyed a long awaited Christmas reunion at this lovely home in Hilo. We were a group of 13, which included two infants, two three year olds, and two 5 year olds. The family hadn't been altogether for 4 years due to the pandemic, and part of the family lives in Australia, so the location of the gathering was an important choice. We chose the right one! The house is roomy and offers many areas for relaxing, playing games, conversation, and beautiful views. The kitchen is fully equipped to cook up meals for any large group. The kids enjoyed many hours in the pool. We had a photographer come to take our family photo in the beautiful yard. Anthony was a considerate host who immediately responded to any question.

Stunning private resort- perfect for families!!
I do not even know where to begin to share about what a special gem this property is!! Every need we had was met and it was luxurious enough to make you feel like you were at a private resort but yet comfortable enough to make you feel at home. The kitchen was stocked with everything we needed. Just bring your own coffee and you can sit for hours in the AM at the pool or on the deck watching the sunrise. And let’s talk about the pool area- young and old, alike, enjoyed it all- the pool, slide and hot tub!! The cabana area was the perfect shaded spot for those who mind the sun but want to be part of the action. The property is a tropical, lush paradise. While you were in a small neighborhood, you had all the privacy in the world. I cannot say anything negative because this is a home you do not want to overlook! Perfect for couples, small families and large families. Great location for driving to Hilo (only about 20 min) and being our home base for exploring the central and southern parts of the island. We would most definitely stay here again!!

Absolutely loved this house and grounds. Was met by Susan and she went over how to work the pool and other things. The main reason I rented this house was my 3 1/2 year old and 15 year old grand daughters picked out this house when I was looking to book and the pool was so worth it!! Tony even called to check on us the next morning. They really go beyond what most rentals do, bottle of wine waiting and the girls receive Hawaiian flower barrette. The only negative is it says the home has ac, it does not. Normally it would be a big issue with my health but the lower level with fan was ok. I would definitely book this house again. Thank you Tony and Susan!!
