"One of the best hotels I've ever stayed in (and I've stayed in a lot). It is incredibly beautiful, and the service is second to none. Quiet hotel, one of the comfiest beds I've ever slept in, the food was delicious - I really can't fault it. Worth every penny. The whole island is owned by the hotel, they have wild otters and seals - the spa was beautiful too. Highly recommend, I will be staying here again"

I would like to mention that the staff were once again very friendly and welcoming, and nothing was too much trouble. "My wife, myself amd our 7 month old (along with our dog) went up for a list minute 2 night stay and we could not have wished for a better stay. Room was lovely and big along with a freat view across the bay. The staff were amazing with us and our wee boy. Food was excellent. It was our 1st visit but it will not be our last"

"The Lochaline Hotel is located in the tiny village of Lochaline, which is reached by a rather long drive on a single-track road. Although remote, the hotel rewards a stay with its peacefulness. It is located right on the sound. The ferry runs frequently to Mull and no reservation is needed. Our hosts were warmly welcoming and helpful. The room was clean and had a wonderful view of the sound. The breakfast was excellent and cooked to order."
