"It's a beautiful property in the country with public bus access if you are willing to walk a mile to the bus stop. I considered it good exercise and a beautiful walk if its not raining. We had some issue with our room keys and had to have them reactivated every night when we returned from our excursions. The breakfast is very good but I'm not a big breakfast eater. "This would actually be a review of the Morangie Hotel in Tain. We were informed just a few weeks before our trip that they have repairs that needed to be done in the Mansfield hotel and that they transferred us to another hotel without an offer of a refund. The Morangie Hotel was a nice looking manor and had lovely stag head and Jacobite sword memerobilia. However shrouded in tacky halloween decorations and buckets laid about to catch leaks around the hotel. It wasn’t the stay we were expecting....

"We enjoyed our stay in this very old and rustic castle! Robbie was super friendly and very knowledgeable about all the history! We learned alot from him! Thank you for the tour! Loved the castle its self and the grounds. Location was fantastic! Minutes walk down to the beach! "

"Beautiful location--pictures do not do it justice. Plenty of room for our family of 5 adults. Be prepared for the stairs, but it is so worth it! Peaceful, beautiful surroundings. First class interior. Cant recommend it enough!"

Great location, highly recommend

"Excellent location to explore the city from. Less than a five minute walk from Waverley station and walking distance to lots of the tourist attractions. The staff were really friendly and helpful. We stayed in a suite which was fantastic. The king size bed was really comfortable. Lovely free standing bath and huge shower in the bathroom. Great high quality toiletries too and the bathrobes and slippers were a lovely touch. Great room to unwind in after a day exploring the city. We didn’t use the gym as it looked small. Mainly cardio machines with a few free weights and no benches. But the pool was lovely and warm and the sauna and steam rooms were great to use after a swim. "

"This was a well located hotel in the centre of Edinburgh and I have to say I couldn't fault anything with the hotel. Great parking, staff, room and food and I would definitely recommend this one as a base to use if you are visiting the city. The station is a very short walk also so great transport access."
