Staff excellent, food excellent. I had a single room which was very dated, radiator in bedroom kept it warm. I couldnt stay until the Monday as the bathroom was tiny with walk-in shower, tiles broken on floor and so cold - it was like an ice box, i came home on Sunday instead of the Monday. The Royal Hotel is located right in the heart of Oban, which makes for easy traveling around the town from the hotel. Parking is challenging, though, so be prepared to walk a block or two the the hotel. The rooms are clean and comfortable, and the breakfasts were delicious.

Very clean and comfortable room. Spacious corner room with sea views from both windows as we were on the 3rd floor . Great choice for breakfast Bar prices very reasonable Car park chaotic. Some parts of the bathroom needed updated

Royal hotel, everything great

Our trip to Oban was for a family funeral so we were focused on that and we were lucky enough to get a parking space in the small carpark. The inside of the hotel was slightly tired as it’s an older hotel but it was very clean. The breakfast was excellent and the staff were very well organised, the young waiter was nice and smiley. Cappuccino was brilliant 👌

Royal Hotel Oban

It was a very good stay, with really friendly staff. Breakfasts were good. Hotel was pnly 5 minutes walk from the train station.
