Great place to stay, lovely room with amazing view. Would suggest leaving instructions for the heat and water for the shower; we figured it out but it was an adventure.
All hotels/ guesthouses in Scotland are very expensive. The room was particularly small for the price but it was clean and well kept. The hangover from covid is the absence of any customer service which is a shame. Self check in and self check out. No breakfast, no contact The owners seemed irritated by our towel request when this was overlooked by the cleaner. Paying over £100 didn't feel justified in the end. It's not somewhere we'd return.
Gorgeous, clean, comfortable, convenient. Also the host is very nice and in-room fast-made porridge with coffee, tee, cookies and bisquites are a very convenient breakfast option for an early departing day trip. Don't forget to check out the beautiful guest room
Such a disappointment, the room was small and old fashioned. Very little space for two people, and damp in the atmosphere. Towels never dried and had to shower and air dry as gettibg dried with a cold damp towel was no fun.
Check in security was pior, anyon can just walk in and pick up keys to a room , no staff around and when you rang the numbers for contact there was no answer from all three!
We've booked three rooms. One of them had a bad smell, the other had a broken flash (they've putted a bucket instead) in the toilet and the third had too many mosquitos and some mold in the shower. It was in a nice area in Oban close to the city center. Overall not value for money

Very disappointed @ £100 per night.
It would have been nice to be greeted, instead of a letter with our name and key inside. If we wanted breakfast it would be delivered to our bedroom and placed on the floor outside the room. There was a very small table in the room. We still have not met our hosts. The room was spotlessly clean. Unfortunately the floor mat was frayed at the edges.there was a nice big dining room which was closed. The guests in the house were all housed at the rear of the property. The rooms at the front of the house with the good views were vacant. What a shame this would have made our stay better.
Property is located right across from the bay. Our room was nice, clean, we did not have a good view except the back. Located in easy walk too many restaurants and tour locations. Very small parking right in front of house but secure. Staff very nice.
Lovely landlady, clean and tidy, all Covid measurements taken seriously. Hand sanitising stations provided trough out the old stunning Victorian house, our room no 6 very spacious indeed, .... bathroom is a small small shower room
Unfortunately no breakfast is provided, we would have enjoyed it!
Checked in on a monday to friday short break. Abrupt at check in, and didnt see anyone for the rest of the week. Booked bed and breakfast but was told there would be no breakfast due to Covid 19 !! Also told no room cleaning or bed making, but still charged £127.50 per night. Bathroom was small and shower abysmal, hot and cold markings round the wrong way, so when you turn handle for colder water it goes hotter. Wardrobe was tiny and couldnt hang anything in it without it being folded in half. Views were nice but afraid that was the only redeeming factor. Such a pity as with some thought and updating, it could be a nice establishment.
80% reason for booking was £81 with “breakfast included”, only to be told on arrival “I don’t do breakfasts”! Also told “this is reflected in the price”. We still paid £81!!! Not impressed. Could have made an effort - Briarbank, where we stayed last night, brought a limited selection breakfast to the room - at least it was something.
