The only problem I had and the one thing I was extremely disappointed with was that on the day I was checking out the hotel charged me an extra $100 just so my family and I could sit by the pool for a couple of hours while we waited for our shuttle. I had already spent thousands on this vacation and needing to spend more just so we could kill 2 hours was BS. "

"We stayed at Gaviana for one night as a bridge to the nearby resort we booked for a week starting the next day. Arrived around 1 PM on Friday and were checked in immediately even though it was early. Nice, clean, basic room with a King bed and an ocean view. Right in the heart of the Golden Zone, so lots of dining options nearby and only a short walk to the north end of the Malecon. The staff was welcoming and friendly and had someone who speaks English avao;ab;e if needed. The only way it fell...

"My stay was great. Only one area that could be better was that when we were at the pool we had to go and find someone to order drinks and food. I know first world problems but we really just wanted to tip your waiters and talk to them. The rooms were spotless and the grounds were well kept. "
