we reserved a garden view room. what we got had no windows that opened, and the one window we had faced a dark hallway and a wall. no view of anything except the black hallway and people walking right past our unit, so we had to keep the drapes closed. felt like we had rented a jail cell. In addition, the food served in the buffet (as well as several of the plated meals we were served) were usually tepid (not hot) and sometimes just plain cold. on the plus side, the staff were courteous and responsive and the sports bar, karaokee night were good times. The food and the "garden view" room at this all inclusive are simply not provided in a way to make this hotel a great choice.

Good location. Older resort and outdated. Facilities such as the “sports bar” I would rate at a zero and equivalent to sitting in a buddy’s basement except you’re on lawn chairs instead of lazy boys. I paid for the all inclusive and fully regret it. The food was bland and identical for lunch and dinner daily. I could not stomach buffet by third day. The snack bar is good for kids as its main feature is hot dogs and hockey puck burgers. The sushi was served fresh out of a 3 day storage in the fridge. I’ve had better from a Safeway deli. Only 1 restaurant available per evening and you must reserve by 10am for that evening or you’re stuck eating beans and mashed potatoes at the buffet. If you insist on staying at this location, opt out of the all inclusive and use your $ at any nearby restaurant. There is so many fantastic options within walking distance or within a $5 pulmonia ride. The biggest letdown was the coffee, the lack of it in the rooms. The “cafe” onsite will not let you walk out with a coffee unless you bring your own cup. There are 5 coffee options in the cafe and all were weak and unimpressive. The pastries were stale and sad looking. Depending on your server, morning coffee at buffet was served with either powdered creamer or if you tipped enough, real cream packets. I saw the head honcho every morning in the buffet,belly hanging out sipping on TEA being catered by at least 3 servers. The marching bands playing on the beach every night destroy the beautiful view.

Loved the Hotel (old school Mexico vibe), the beach and the area. Two blocks to shopping, bars and restaurants. In fact I would give it five stars except every single day this horrible band comes down the beach and blasts you out of your room or palapa! I can only compare it to an elementary school marching band, no, that would be an insult to children! It’s truly awful 😣

It was quaint and the staff was friendly and accommodating. Upon check in we were told we did not have the all inclusive option included in our reservation, although not a huge extra expense not an expected one either. The buffet was small, and not impressive, and the other restaurants were only available certain nights by reservation only. The bars didn’t open until 11am, and only one bar open past 11pm. The rooms definitely were not fancy, or even a little bit soundproof. Every morning starting around 6:30 we heard dish carts rolling on the tile and dishes rattling, staff setting up for whatever was going on for the day which most mornings meant a lot of slamming. All of which sounded right outside our door. Once we settled into our routine this was a nice place to stay. The beach was beautiful and it was close to a downtown shopping area with several restaurants and shops.

A true Mexico getaway! This property is massive. Many pools, restaurants,shows, staff, bars, cenote and amenities. Most staff here speak very little English but it was great. Not an international destination and mostly families from cities around Mexico on holiday visit here. For an All Inclusive resort the food and drinks were outstanding. You need a map to find everything at this hotel. Ocean views from hotel room is breathtaking. Walking distance to many shops and attractions. On a public beach with many vendors and bands.

Love this hotel. This is my 4 or 5 time staying here. Nice clean hotel right at the beach. Food is great. Be carefull its buffet stlye so you end up eating to much and gaining weght lol. This time we stayed on leftside of property. Well they just open a night club for new years and noise level was way too much till 3 or 4am. Then hotel clean up crew showed up and they were bit noisy too. Not sure if this will contuine to be issue in future but recommened asking before booking because it does drain you because lack of sleep over days. People stayed on right side of hotel said they did hear night club but just heard people coming in to rooms late night or early morning. In all stay was great could been better with noise issue we had on left side of hotel. As to safety of Mazatlan we had no issue but we were super carefull were we went and with who. Never out too late. But many others were out late had no issue in tourist zone. Overall we love Mazatlan and this hotel. Just be safe and plan out everything good and you have a awesome time. Check out at 11am you only use bathrooms after 11 not rest of hotel which is bummer if you have later flights out from mazatlan. Be ready for that also or ask hotel how to accomate for that too.
