"A spectacular place. Walking in it was “Wow, just wow “. The views to Matapouri Bay and Poor Knights were mesmerizing, the bird life (think intoxicated Kereru) entertaining and the accomodations 5 star hotel level. The Aroha suite was huge and had floor to ceiling glass doors that opened to the amazing outdoors. Julianne was a delightful and gracious host. We could not have asked for a better stay and wished we could have atayed longer"

"A lovely Bach to hang out in as we attended a family wedding. An easy walk to the Mangawhai town and shops, and lovely board walk along the estuary. No view but peaceful, and a lovely neighbour who helped us out with a torch during a power cut and loaned us her ironing board."

"There are only two units in this facility and the parking is on the side of the hill, straddling the garage. This was a rather precarious situation and, in my opinion, barely qualified as "on-site" parking."

"The Matauwhi Bay Manor was the most magnificent vacation holiday place we have ever stayed in.The ground was stunning with gardens, trees, and “bush” surrounding this large Manor House. The views in three directions where of the beautiful Matauwhi Bay with picturesque boats anchored all the way around. The interior of the manor felt like we were staying in Downton Abbey. Our hosts Bruce and Diana were just as friendly and as accommodating as could be. Our freshly cooked breakfasts were a delight...

"Our stay was top short, only two Nights, but we could appreciate the hospitality and the wunderfull lodge. Also the 9 holes golf could be discovered. Both dogs like to play, also golf!"

"Great spot, view from the large spa house to die for, comfortable beds and nice clean cotton sheets. Our only disappointment was being woken at 0530 with some unruly guests children plonking the piano! Would definitely stay here again."
