"The spa and treatments are very high quality! Alpina Restaurant was great but expensive to have all your meals in. I didn’t like having to call shuttle for every spa, meal or other area too far to walk from rooms. Staff came quick but still would rather have everything all in one place. Lots of stairs even in some rooms so those who find stairs difficult shouldn’t stay here Pool not impressive. No hot tub but some rooms have a jacuzzi bath tub. "

The cabin looks out to a quiet bay where seals and birds can be seen daily and the occasional whale or shark at times. The kitchen/living room area has the best windows that swing open to allow in fresh air and sunshine and you can sit on the window seat with your feet outside! We went to Butchart Gardens which was about an hour away, so the location perfect in relation to the Nanaimo ferry where we arrived. The beach was near but a bit treacherous for some of us to walk.
