"I am not sure how people rate this place poorly. It is all inclusive with FOUR different dining options (dining like a cruise) in addition to the buffet. The dining options are free you just make reservations for the evening. We liked this bc then there is no line or waiting for your table. The food at these restaurants were good. Breakfast buffet was good with an omelet station, lots of fresh fruit, and regular buffet food. Buffet was open for all meals, there was one other option for lunch, the snack bar. The snack bar was great for lunch and food made fresh there is also a taco bar which was good. The resort is on a nice beach which not all the resorts are bc this area is rocky. The ocean water in June is WARM and nice! We loved it. We also felt safe here. They cleaned the room everyday which is nice! And the excursions we booked with them were great. It’s like 12 miles to downtown but it takes 40-50 mins taxi ride and about $20 each way. We liked being away from downtown though. We went here on our honeymoon and we loved it!"

"This was referred on to us by family, and although the facility is a little dated, the view and service is over the top. Food was excellent and you can’t beat the view from the beach! The staff is very gracious and was fine with my “espanol poco”. Plenty of locations to eat and drink. Recommend this hotel to everyone! "

"The property is beautiful. We were immediately greeted at the door and taken to the Elite Lounge (additional cost) to have a drink while we checked in. The pools are small but fun (there are three pools). Food was pretty good and there were lots of options. "

"Beautiful pool area and the grounds are nicely landscaped with palm trees, giving the property a true resort environment. Private beach with cabanas and a nice view of the bay and the old city area of Puerto Vallarta. Rooms are clean, comfortable, and decently appointed (not brand-brand new but also not dated) and have a balcony area to sit and view the pool and a partial view of the bay (mine was on the 6th floor). Staff was very helpful and always super friendly. There were fewer dining options during the off season, but the main restaurant was nice and has a sufficient variety of menu options if you don't want to leave the resort. My response to any negative reviews is to consider how Karens are going to hate or have unrealistic expectations; this is a nice 4-star hotel. Based on my experience, I would certainly enjoy staying here again. "
