The staff was wonderful. We enjoyed the private beach. I would have liked to have more on property activities. They had a lot of exercise classes, but would have liked something fun instead of the same things everyday. Nothing after dinner until the disco at 10:30.I didn't feel like the activities girls were excited about getting out and getting people to join in.

When I booked through Expedia I indicated my children’s ages and booked a room for a family of 4, I didn’t check confirmation before we checked in again and it was only for 2 adults so we had to pay additional when checking in and for our family of 4 with a 6 and 4 year old it ended up being more expensive then my parents room with three adults who booked directly through hotel. I’ve tried contacting Expedia but haven’t had luck. Overall the hotel and the staff were amazing and I wish I booked directly through them.

I’ve been to the Ziva a dozen times in the last twenty years my husband won’t go anywhere else. I love so many things about this resort. The staff is so friendly, every interaction with an employee just makes me smile. The rooms all have amazing ocean views and every year there is something new and improved. The restaurants are first class. This year they are asking us to make reservations. I was disappointed at first but the reservations are easy to make and easy to change and there is plenty of room in any restaurant. I like everything about visiting Puerto Vallarta and staying at the Hyatt Ziva.

The rooms are old and bad condition, in addition they haven’t cleaned it and even after we complained about the sticky floor they haven’t cleaned it well. The shower was broken and it was impossible to close the balcony door. We ended by switching hotels.

Overall beautiful spot with private beach and short ride into town. Housekeeping was a bit lax. Food in main cafe was great but 2 out of the 3 restaurants was sub par. And they closed the main cafe some nights so options were limited based on reservation. No tables to play games, only side tables except in restaurants. .
