"I put in a request for an early check in via the Hotels.com messaging app. Upon arrival, the receptionist told me that they didn't receive it. I showed them the message in my Hotels.com app (which contained a "we received your message and will get back to you shortly" style confirmation) and she informed me that they don't receive messages from Hotels.com. I find it strange that Hilton and Hotels.com/Expedia - two powerhouses of hotel travel, don't have a working communication system. But...

"The shower room was bizarre, like a caravan shower. We stayed because we were doing the Otley Run and it was a taxi to the start. Staff were great and check in was a breeze! We got to go to our rooms straight away when we got there at 11am which was fantastic! "
