"Myself and my boyfriend stayed at the Lakes Hotel and Spa for one night for his Birthday. It is everything we could’ve asked for. The staff were so lovely and the location was amazing. If you are staying here, you must try the restaurant. It was one of the nicest meals I’ve ever had. Highly recommend, we will definitely be back. "

"Lovely building especially when lit up at dusk. Dining room and bar excellent Food good quality excellent Sunday roast. Garden area at front of hotel is well kept with lovely flowers and pots. Beer garden and picnic tables at the rear is a good addition. There were one or two issues in the room itself - just needs upgraded especially the bathroom."

"Liked the lakeside location. Whilst our room was lovely: clean and very comfortable, some of the window sills around the hotel were rather dirty and had dead flies on them. The staff were very helpful and friendly at all times. The food was good, however the cooked breakfast took a long time to be ready: about 20 minutes."

"Staff , food , room & view out over the river were all amazing. We both felt that the changing rooms connected to the pool area could be better, no feeling of space or privacy at all . Alot of history with this building making it very interesting."

"Comfortable stay but hotel looking a bit tired and needing a refurbishment. No power shower 😫 infact pretty useless. Didn't eat at hotel so can't comment there. Good location next to Cabin tram stop which takes you to North Station, new line. Swimming 🏊‍♀️ pool nice and warm but only 3ft deep! Staff polite and friendly. Need to leave a deposit on check-in for damages £50 per night 🌙 refundable after check out. "
