"Stayed for one night in room 20 which is a family room. The room was spacious and well equipped with tea/coffee facilities, USB charging, plenty of sockets, large bath and roomy shower. It is also well laid out for a family room with 2 separate areas. The double bed for the grown ups was good, although the sheet could have been a little bigger as it kept coming off and wouldn’t tuck back around. "Really enjoyed our stay while visiting Richmond, breakfast was great too! Only one small gripe that the shower was'nt good, the dials were back to front, to get it warm it had to be on cold and when it was warm it was a trickle."

"Fantastic location, convenient base for short Ullswater stay. Staff mostly great and welcoming, rooms very clean, corridors and paintwork showing wear and many scuffs. Room tea coffee facilities excellent, evening meal was very average and probably over priced. Breakfast, service and overall environment lovely and excellent service. Set us up well for the day and one of the nicest breakfasts I've had. Would definitely consider a return stay when in Ullswater. "

"Nice pub hotel in the lake district with lovely view, sadly we were in annex across the road with a view of carpark. Nice enough room but slightly dated and a bit boring. Grest access to windermere lake and shops. Nice breakfast "

"Bar and rooms were clean. Lady who checked us in at the bar was friendly and gave the information required about codes/keys. Our room was direct above the bar and looked over the smoking entrance so was loud until closing. Overall a great, comfortable stay. Loved the nespresso machine in the room and the decor was beautiful! Thanks "
