"Pleasant stay at the Shakespeare. A warm welcome by Lee and shown up to our room. Nice large room ( we opted for the family room ). Nice breakfast in the morning. Staff were very nice too!! "

"This is the 3 rd time we have stayed at the Wild Boar and we decided to Upgrade our room this time . Unfortunately the shower had not be cleaned and had cobwebs hanging from It clearly Indicating it had not been cleaned throughly for some time . All staff were friendly and the meals are fantastic unfortunately the standard of cleanliness of the shower somewhat tarnished the stay as the room upgrade was significantly more expensive than the standard rooms. "

"Pooley Bridge is one of my favourite places on earth. I've been going since 1982 and on that occassion I had a pint or two in the Pooley Bridge Inn. I've stayed before here and it's great to know that it's still as fabulous as it's alwasy been. Room was beautiful, balcony was lovely to have. Food is outstanding, the staff are all so helpful and full of joy. It has such a positive vibe, fills you with energy and also relaxes too. 10 out of 10"

"The hotel is a large old inn on the outside, but inside is modern, clean and very comfortable. The staff were very friendly and looked after us very well. For example: we were shown to our room on arrival (never had that before) and were a font of knowledge about the various local walks and sights. There is even a map painted on the ceiling of the bar! Restaurant was an excellent source of hearty and freshly cooked meals (breakfasts and dinners). Highly recommend."

"The staff were really friendly during our stay, the breakfast was fantastic and service was great. We were so disappointed to discover on the last day that there was another side to the breakfast menu which we hadn't turned over! We will have to return and sample the breakfast pancakes! :) Thanks for a great, comfortable and friendly stay."
