"We stayed in this home for the full month of March 2025. We rated this a 10 based on our top three requirements: next to the ocean, clean, comfortable beds. This home met all three requirements. The ocean with its spectacular crashing waves, stunning views, and swimming turtles was wonderful. The sound of the waves at night along with the comfortable bed made for excellent sleeping. The home was clean and the two new area rugs were a nice update. However, as others have noted, this home would benefit from additional updates. For example, the couch is very uncomfortable. Our inquiries via email were answered promptly. Overall, we enjoyed our stay."

"This is a beautiful place and quite clean. They also have a cache of masks, snorkel, chairs and other beach items which is helpful. We used this cottage as base camp to visit Volcanoes NP. It is a good option if you have a rental car. They don't call it the "Big Island" for nothing. There is a lot of windshield time when traveling the area. My only constructive criticism of this property, as well as almost all other VRBOs, is to reduce the unnecessary furniture, bookshelves, and tchotchkes that are used to make it feel "homie". The owners are really responsive and getting in and out was simple. Very, very cool place."
