Met Sean who shared some insights about the area and local cuisine. Ashley was great at communicating and checking in with us via VRBO messages. "This is a beautiful place and quite clean. They also have a cache of masks, snorkel, chairs and other beach items which is helpful. We used this cottage as base camp to visit Volcanoes NP. It is a good option if you have a rental car. They don't call it the "Big Island" for nothing. There is a lot of windshield time when traveling the area. My only constructive criticism of this property, as well as almost all other VRBOs, is to reduce the unnecessary furniture, bookshelves, and tchotchkes that...

"This is a wonderful off the grid property away from all the hustle and bustle. The ocean views are spectacular. You can just wander a few hundred feet to enjoy the ocean and all the sea life. The grounds are well kept with an abundance of fresh fruit. The lack of Internet was a great reprieve from daily life. The unit is very well appointed with plenty of areas to relax and it has just enough modern conveniences."

"Very secluded location. Cabin layout was cozy and modern. Kitchen had all necessary appliances, dishes, pans, and utensils. Cooler and ice packs were available for use. If the frog noise bothers you turn on the dehumidifier. That helped a lot."
