"It is a historic hotel so expect the look to be a little dated, however, that is what adds charm to it. Overall a comfortable hotel, bathroom not so great (review is for FORESTWING TWIN FOREST SIDE). French restaurant is very nice for dinner as well as breakfast, it feels a little formal but a nice experience. Hotel garden is nice, staff is very helpful."

"Staff is very responsive and attentive. Having an in room onsen is great so that we can take a dip in it any time we like. Although the property is a little out of the way, they can always take you to near by bus or train station upon request. Dinner and breakfast are served inside the room. You sit on the floor and the table is about 12-14" high. Sitting cross leg may be uncomfortable to those who are not used to it. Getting up from that sitting position may be difficult for some."

"Property was nestled across the bridge under wide flowing creek. Walking distance from train station. Pleasant atmosphere… Relaxing Hot springs spa. No wonder why its been there since eighteen hundred years."

Top quality food in extremely comfortable surroundings and an excellent breakfast buffet. The hotel provided an efficient shuttle service to both a local rail station and the larger Odawara major train station. "

"Grand old place in need of a big clean, but absolutely phenomenal experience. The staff were fantastic; friendly and helpful. The dining room and food stations were unbelievable. A pianist was playing during dinner. It was amazing. Nice hot Onsen too. One was outside overlooking the ocean. Very special. I loved that I could have the window open. The room was so spacious and the view was incredible."
