"The exterior looks old but the interior seems to have been renovated and it is in excellent condition including the room we were in. The private onsens are in outstanding condition, the public onsens are great although not as good. The breakfast was excellent with several Japanese and western dishes. The place is close enough to the train station to walk but far enough so that the noise of the town does not bother. "

"Great staff: we reached very late at night. The manager was kind enough to extend our onsen reservation for half hour without us asking. He stayed well past the midnight to make sure our onsen experience is complete! We are so grateful to him. Moreover, the facility is much nicer than we expected: Large lobby and living facilities, great decor and the private onsen is out of this world!"

"Very nice hotel! The food for the half board was so good and the facility was beautiful. We went when it was snowing and the view from our hotel balcony was stunning. The private baths were also really nice as well as the public baths. It was a walking distance from the station so it was a breeze to get there (~5min walk). For being my first time in Japan and on an onsen, everything was easy to understand. The staff were also very helpful. Will definitely come back here again. "

"What a beautiful hotel! Friendly staff, easy check in, reservations made for dinner and breakfast. The restaurant food and service was 5 stars. I got to try their kaiseki meals for 2 nights. Sukiyaki dinner with many sides that were grilled, and steamed the first night. They have burners and chafing pots on your meal table. The breakfast sets were also a feast for the eyes.
