"Walking distance to a restaurant & fur baby friendly. A very clean room microwave & fridge in room. The towels were very soft and pretty big to what I'm used to seeing in a hotel room with good smelling amenities especially the shampoo. I guess you can say we shut the lights off at motel 6 that we always use. Travel lodge has gained our business. A poo bag for your fur babies. I had brought our own cause most don't have them. Exceptional service."

"We really enjoyed our evening away at Green Tree Inn! We were coming down south for car show in Alton but we were looking for a unique place to stay close by and Green Tree exceeded our expectations. The owners are a delight. Room was comfortable and classy. Breakfast and afternoon treat was delicious. Felt like a home away from home. If we have the opportunity to come back we deffinitely will. "

"This is a historic hotel. The common areas and the restaurant are great. Our room was very small and tired. The bathroom had been remodeled and was very nice. The rest of the room needed a major overhaul. The wiring was all wiremold; It still had a SMALL analog TV; The furnishings were probably at least 20 years old (not old enough to be antiques), etc.... This hotel has great potential if they would do a MAJOR renovation."
