Bonus - fresh avocados from the tree right outside the cottage! The farm location on the rainforest eastern side of the island worked well for us - a 30 min drive to Hilo, and hour to Volcano National park, and one hour to the Mauna Kea visitor center. "

"We’ve stayed at Hulili before but this was our first time in the treehouse. We really enjoyed it! The property is wonderful. The treehouse is definitely a unique layout but it’s very well done. The structure itself is like a tall (vertical/stacked) cabin nestled in the trees. Lots of windows which we left open to let in the breeze; we found the temperature and airflow quite comfortable, especially at night. Note that there is a narrow/twisting set of internal stairs from the second level...

"The Pineapple Cottage was the perfect peaceful spot. Amazing sunrises and a great view. The porch was awesome and the outdoor bed was so nice during both the sunshine and the rain. The hosts were kind and helpful, and they have a couple of friendly dogs you can play with if you're missing your own animals back home. The farm is very pretty and you have free rein to stroll around. We had all the amenities we needed in the bathroom and kitchen, including cookware. We're so pleased we chose to stay...
