"This is an excellent, sophisticated small hotel with very helpful and responsive staff. While there is no restaurant onsite they do serve an excellent breakfast in your room. One of its great attractions, though, is the fantastic bar just off of the lobby. And the bartender and his assistant are absolutely the best…friendly, knowledgeable and a source of good information about Charleston. Nothing not to like here!"

"The TV in our room never worked properly. I told the front desk the first day and asked again. No one ever came to check the TV. It was out of focus. Also, the site advertised free breakfast and a pool; there was no breakfast at all… not even coffee in lobby and the pool was drained. The staff did not offer alternatives to breakfast even though there was a place attached to one part of the hotel. I thought it was closed. My room was clean but the stairs and outside was not swept and sloppy....

"The location and the price make this a very attractive hotel. It’s small and only two levels. Our room had the living space, which including a full kitchen, downstairs and the bedroom up, This hotel would be primo but the general maintenance/repair aesthetics are beyond poor. There were half patched holes in the wall without touchup paint covering the spackling, making the room look run down. On the upside, the staff was friendly and helpful. I’d highly recommend this hotel to anyone willing...
